This blog is the repository for participant-created blog entries from our trip to Sardegna in May 2025. This trip is centered around a bike ride which commences in Cagliari, goes up through the centre of the island and then returns to Cagliari via a route that is more or less down the west coastline. The planning for the ride has been done in OneNote (link below). The route itself has been planned in RideWithGPS (link below).

Day 7, Samugheo rest day
A quiet day... I went exploring around the town. Discovered a weaving cottage factory staffed by three generations of women in one family. Looms of various sizes everywhere.
They do everything from cushion covers to carpets. All traditional hand looms, all natural fiber.
They spoke no English but I coped. Some little-used (by me) vocabulary, relating to fabrics kinda came back to me as we talked.
